The Otolaryngology Unit (ENT) provides specialized care for patients with conditions affecting the ear, nose, and throat. The team diagnoses and treats a wide range of ENT disorders, including hearing problems, tonsillitis, and nasal septum deviation, offering both medical management and surgical intervention tailored to each patient's needs.
Among the surgical procedures performed, the unit offers tonsillectomy, sinus surgery, tympanic membrane repair, and septoplasty. Diagnosis and treatment planning are supported by specialized instruments for the clinical examination of ear, nose, and throat conditions, ensuring accurate assessment at every stage of care.
With approximately 50 to 70 patients seen daily, the unit is a reliable point of reference for ENT care within the hospital, working in close collaboration with other clinical units to ensure continuity and quality of treatment.
