Education and Training Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Teaching Hospital

Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Teaching Hospital, inaugurated in 2021, is a prominent healthcare and academic institution dedicated to advancing medical education and clinical practice. The hospital has a direct affiliation with Jaber Bin Hayyan Medical University, and also collaborates with medical students from the University of Kufa.

The hospital hosts a Research and Training Unit, and has trained thousands of students and resident doctors over the years. It serves as an active site for postgraduate medical training under both the Iraqi Board for Medical and Surgical Specializations and the Arab Board of Health Specializations, with official study programs and clinical training conducted within the hospital itself.

Driven by the belief that “there is no health without education” the hospital has established a Continuing Medical Education (CME) Department, which is responsible for training and educating healthcare professionals and students. This effort ensures they acquire essential skills, adopt best practices, and minimize medical errors to provide high-quality care.
