Murtadha Moojid Hadi Alhatemi

Dr. Murtadha Alhatemi is a Specialist in General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Teaching Hospital.
He performs a wide range of basic and advanced surgical procedures, including gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic surgery; appendectomy and cholecystectomy performed laparoscopically; hernia repair; ovarian cyst surgery and hysterectomy, including laparoscopic approaches. His practice also includes abdominal wall contouring, liposuction and body contouring, breast surgery and related aesthetic procedures, tumor resection, and thyroid and endocrine surgery.

He is a Fellow of several international surgical organizations, including the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the Canadian Association of General Surgeons (CAGS), and the International Society of Robotic Surgery (ISRS).
He is also a member of several international surgical societies, including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS), and the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI).
