Biography
Dr. Denis Larinov is Cheif of oncology department in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Teaching Hospital. He is a highly experienced radiation oncologist with over 14 years of professional practice. His career is marked by a strong commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
He has worked at leading state academic institutions, including the Russian Research Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies and the Blokhin Cancer Research Center, as well as at prominent private clinics such as Oncostop LLC and MedInvest Group. In these roles, Dr. Larinov has consistently demonstrated advanced expertise, serving as a Radiation Oncologist, Head of the Radiotherapy Department at Oncoradiology Hospital, and Chief of a Radiotherapy Center. His leadership experience spans Russian scientific institutions and internationally recognized medical centers in Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy.
Dr. Larinov is highly skilled in stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies such as Elekta Axesse and Versa HD, Varian TrueBeam STx, and both G4 and M6 generations of the CyberKnife robotic system. He has actively contributed to the adoption of modern radiotherapy technologies, including multi-platform treatment planning systems, AI-driven auto-contouring tools, machine learning, and big data analytics, all aimed at enhancing clinical decision-making and knowledge transfer.
His scientific interests include adaptive radiotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), SRS/SBRT for prostate cancer, re-irradiation strategies for recurrent head and neck tumors, stereotactic treatment for uveal melanoma, and advanced approaches for localized cancers in high-risk patients.
Dr. Larinov is a co-author of numerous research publications, clinical recommendations, and guidelines in stereotactic radiotherapy, and he is an active member of several professional societies.
