Biography
Dr. Ghufran Jawad Al-Shukri is Head of the Echocardiography Unit, where she contributes to the diagnostic evaluation and assessment of cardiac conditions through advanced imaging techniques. She specialises in cardiac and vascular echocardiography, congenital heart diseases, and internal medicine at Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf Teaching Hospital.
Her clinical activity includes fetal echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in adult patients, contributing to the diagnosis of structural and functional heart diseases.
She has also contributed to research on modern echocardiographic techniques for the early detection of valvular heart diseases and their role in treatment and prevention of complications, as well as on the role of echocardiography in detecting cardiovascular diseases in patients with type 2 diabetes.
She is a member of the Iraqi Cardiac Society.
